BIO
Angelika has always had a passion for typography and imagery since a young age. Whether it was designing her father's company business cards or a friend's event invitation, she gained an early appreciation for creative ideas and the process of bringing them to life.
She got her first taste of the ad world while interning at a fast-paced advertising agency, G2 Promotional Marketing, where she shadowed the Art and Creative Directors during project briefs and brand research.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communications, she started as a Graphic Designer at a large-format sign company which taught her vendor coordination, client communication, equipment operation (ie: HP printers, vinyl plotters, etc.) and preparing files for print.
Next, she designed custom products for Viacom (television conglomerate) to be sold on their online store. Maintaining brand guidelines, she was still able to create unique and popular designs that contributed to an increase of sales by 12%.
From there, Angelika was thrilled to land at a foodservice advertising agency where she was able to learn immensely from the Art Director and Creative Director respectively, creating campaigns that spread through multiple mediums (print, digital, social, etc.), while honing in on high-level design skills and production talents. This position instilled in her the importance of establishing a creative strategy, understanding how to drive purchase intent and queue a call-to-action for the consumer.
In recent years, Angelika has been a creative pioneer in the hyper-growth cannabis industry, leading the charge of refreshing product brands and launching product release campaigns while adhering to budget and timeline constraints. She is responsible for leading and mentoring the young creatives on the team to establish brand guidelines, brainstorm creative concepts for social, oversee photoshoots (lifestyle and product) and deliver compliant packaging to the market.
All the while, she maintains a side hustle of a freelancing design business catering to local small businesses. She spends her free time teaching crafts to her niece and nephews and camping at the lake with her husband and outdoorsy, senior dog, Payton.
